Once he saw it was messy, he lost interest. Ha! Caroline just wanted to play with the leaves. Of course!
I'm the wife of a small business owner and the mom of two preschoolers. I'm fortunate to spend this season of my life at home, focused on taking care of my family. This blog provides a much needed emotional outlet and platform for sharing the things which are important to me. And it's also a pretty spectacular stage for showing off the world's smartest, most adorable children.

Pumpkin Carving 2010
We carved our pumpkin the weekend before Halloween. (Note to self: that was too soon. It decayed and stunk up our house and we ended up throwing it out before Halloween. Boo.) Garrison had been begging us to "open up the pumpkin and see what's inside." So we were outside and gutting the pumpkin by 9:00 that Saturday morning. He was very curious and very ready to take a peek inside.

Once he saw it was messy, he lost interest. Ha! Caroline just wanted to play with the leaves. Of course!
A little brother-sister play time while Daddy does all the work.
Once the messy part was over, Garrison became interested again.
I decided to move Caroline closer to the pumpkin to see if she would be mildly interested. Little did I know...
She went for it! And went for it again. And again. What a mess!!!
Gotta love a boy who doesn't want to get his fingers messy and a girl who wants to rub it all in her clothes. Hi.lar.i.ous.
