Wearing Mommy's Baby Clothes

Years ago, my mom thought that it would be a good idea to save some of my baby clothes "just in case you ever have a little girl someday".  Let me just say that this has scored her an unlimited amount of cool points in my book!  Since I was born in April and Caroline was born in December, the newborn clothes weren't the right season.  But, since it's pretty warm today I decided to put her in one of my 3-6 month outfits.  I'm glad I did- it barely fit!

(Get ready for lots of pictures of the same outfit... I couldn't pick just one to share!)

The full outfit.  The bloomers are too big in the waist.  Either cloth diapers were just that bulky or early 1980s elastic doesn't last 29 years.  :-)

A few close-ups to get the details of the shirt.  (It may have been intended to be a dress, but at this point it looks like more of a shirt on her!)

I'll confess that I teared up while I was getting her dressed.  I pictured my mom buttoning those same buttons on a squirmy little baby me and I just couldn't help myself!  (And, yes- I'm planning on re-gifting these to any future granddaughters I may have!)

Thanks, Mom!  You ROCK!
